Born in December, 2016. Established in 2018.
Annex Suspended is a new adventure. A keepsake. A connection to our world. This dream team is always exploring new materials, textures and colours – admiring suspended art’s role in a room as a statement piece or as a way to tie in a theme or design. All of our mobiles are inspired by the beauty of the natural world, organic patterns and shapes and the power of community.
Add natural textures with our raw wood suspended art, or a splash of colour with our hand painted geometric mobiles. Mobiles have this magical ability to add height, movement and a bit of whimsy to a room.
Annex is founded by two artists, Michelle Galway and Brina Schenk, who live and create in the beautiful city of Fernie, British Columbia, Canada. Almost every mobile is created collaboratively by the Annex duo, who use a variety of materials including: fabric, paper clay, wood, paper and wool. You’ll also find the two contributing to the Fernie Lantern Festival, a beautiful community event that is full of magic and imagination.

Annex Suspended is so legit, we even have our own Annex hangers, thanks to a small, family-run business from Fernie – Wild Wolves Design.
Annex is lucky to have Lilac Media only a couple minutes away for brilliant print work.
