The Story of “Anchor and Lift”

Anchor and Lift was made in two phases. About 5 years ago I cut and painted these pieces with the intention of making a mobile for our front bay window. Truth is, I did make a mobile out of them but it was poorly constructed and was put away soon after. When Annex Suspended was born, these geometric pieces came out from storage. I’ve always loved them. The simplicity. The harmony and flow. With it properly anchored and lifted, the piece finally has reached it’s potential.

When we displayed it at Annex Suspended Art Show it was so high, close to the ceiling, no one saw it’s true beauty. Nobody puts Anchor and Lift in the corner.
